Ron Carlisle entered the foottplate grade on 05.11.1990 at Brighton. Ron got promotion to driver at Brighton in C1993. In 1997 Ron transferred to the newly opened Thameslink depot where remained until his retirement in 2007. Ron as emigrated to Monument in Colorado.

Tony Harper left the training school and moved to South West Trains in 1999 as Driver Instructor at Wimbledon. Tony spent most of his time on loan to Basingstoke training school. In 2004 Tony moved to Thameslink at Brighton as a Driver.

"Andy "the Whistler" McGillvary
Andy transfered to Brighton with the opening of the new Thameslink depot. Andy had also worked at Norwood, Coulsdon North, Selhurst & Blacfriars depots. Andy left the railway industry due to ill health in C2006.

Ivan entered the footplate grades at Waterloo on the 13.08.84. In c1987 moved to Wimbledon Park to get his promotion to driver and then in mid 1991 moving to Brightont M.T. and later moving to Brighton Thameslink on the 15.03.1999

During his 20 years at Brighton, Ivan as held many positions with the Brighton Branch of A.S.L.E.F., including Branch Chiarman, A.A.D. Delegate and served on the L.D.C. under Connex South Central and later for Brighton Thameslink/F.C.C. for 15 years.

Mac is seen taking a break during working on the footplate of a British Railways "Black 5". This was Mac's first time that he had worked on the footplate since his early days working at Guildford & Woking loco depots back in July 1967.
